Internships
Because students studying American Studies are interested in such a wide variety of disciplines, there’s no one-size-fits-all internship that students can complete. Students interested in finding meaningful internship experiences should consider their interests within the discipline and how those interests might translate into a career.
An American Studies major interested in the American political system might enjoy an internship on Capitol Hill, while another major interested in the American education system might enjoy an internship with a local literacy group. The choices are as varied as the students who major in American Studies.
Students who are interested in securing internships should visit the Office of Career Services for more information.
