Study Abroad
The study of American culture only gets more fascinating when viewed through the eyes of those who aren’t American, or are viewing the culture from outside of the United States. Extra-national political and cultural perspectives can only provide more depth and breadth to the way students of American culture ultimately come to view the country in specific and the Americas more broadly. American Studies majors are encouraged to take their core courses at UR, and then study abroad as you pursue elective courses to complete your major.
